About Me
Currently have availability for new therapy clients, so let’s connect!
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a masters in marriage and family therapy and 20+ years of clinical experience. I am also a food allergy mom. Recognized for my expertise in food allergy parenting anxiety, I provide food allergy counseling for parents and therapy for women and mothers via telehealth to clients in Illinois, Florida, and Ohio. I am also food allergy treatment and oral food challenge-informed. My goal is to help parents of children with food allergies manage their own anxiety and stress so the whole family can develop a workable balance between fear and quality of life.
I am the author of May Contain Anxiety: Managing the Overwhelm of Parenting Children with Food Allergies (Johns Hopkins University Press) and the founder of FoodAllergyCounselor.com, an educational resource focused on the mental health impact of food allergies on families. I am also the founder of AFAC and its therapist directory.
Additionally, I am regularly invited to speak and present for national organizations including FARE and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, as well as academic medical programs such as Stanford University’s food allergy program at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research.
I look forward to working together!
