About Me
Katherine Dahlsgaard, PhD, ABPPBoard-Certified Clinical Psychologist | Expert in Food Allergy Anxiety and Exposure-Based CBTLiving with food allergies can mean living with constant fear. For many families, that fear becomes so strong it limits daily life—avoiding restaurants, social events, or even certain rooms in the house. I’ve spent my career helping children, teens, and adults reclaim their confidence and joy through evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I founded the Food Allergy Bravery Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia—the first specialty clinic in the world devoted to food allergy anxiety—and developed the Scale of Food Allergy Anxiety (SOFAA), a scientifically validated tool now used globally by researchers and clinicians. My treatment approach has been featured in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Washington Post.
In addition to my food allergy work, I also specialize in pediatric and adult anxiety disorders, OCD, and ARFID. I provide therapy via telehealth across all 42 PSYPACT states and New York. I typically have new-patient availability within two weeks, including after-school hours for children.
