Lisa B. Rosenberg, M.Ed, MSW, LCSW, CSSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Safe & Included, LLC. I provide food allergy counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and caregivers. I also provide education and/or consultation services to school principals and administrators, students, Board of Education members, nurses, teachers, early childhood center providers, day camps, parents and caregivers, physicians, and restaurant staff throughout the country to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals living with food allergies in ALL aspects of life. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree and licenses in Education and Social Work.

My professional experience as a high school Biology teacher, camp director, School Social Worker/Child Study Team Member, and a Child and Family therapist, paired with my personal experience as a parent to two children with multiple food allergies AND an adult LIVING with food allergies, allows me to provide a unique and comprehensive perspective of food allergies. As a clinician, I provide services to clients with a wide variety of psychotherapeutic needs. However, my clinical focus is food allergy counseling.

I work with food-allergic individuals, as well as their families and caregivers, to help manage the psychosocial impact of living with food allergies, including treating Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). I am also trained in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based modality of psychotherapy used to help people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences or traumatic events.
